Neo Moroka joined De Beers Global Sightholder Sales Botswana as Resident Director in February 2010. He has extensive experience in both public and private sectors in Botswana.
He started his working career in the public service in 1980. In 1984, he joined Barclays Bank and moved up the ranks until he left to work for BP in 1991, first as the General Manager for BP Botswana and then moving to Zambia to take up the post of Managing Director for BP Zambia in 1999. In the same year, he was appointed Commercial Director of BP South Africa responsible for BP commercial activities in 13 South African Development Community countries. Neo then joined the Botswana Government as Minister of Trade and Industry, a role he held until the end of 2009.
